Meeting called to order at 7:07 p.m.
Randy Pritchard gave a brief history of his past involvement with Old Settlers.
Went over what we needed to accomplish this evening, and his summary of committees and volunteers.
Randy had already taken the liberty of booking a country singer for Friday nights dance, and the band for Saturday night. They were supposed to be at Pal’s but will now move to the park.
Carnival has been booked for this year.
Money – books have been looked over.
Since there were no previous members from last year’s committee, we made nominations for President. Randy P unanimously elected.
Vice Pres – Carolyn Meyers
Treasurer – Rachel Wonders
Secretary – Susan Livesay
People were asked to sign up on a committee or two, if they preferred.
Discussion about Figure 8 race. Might have issues with people who had put it on before.
Bonnie S would like to see about getting an update for the Centennial books. And also what items can we sell for a fundraiser.
Food Vendors – discussion about not letting extra food vendors in, so carnival can make more. Or just people from Maxwell to sell food.
Next meeting: Theme Ideas, event ideas for the different days at the park.
